HARNESSING THE POWER OF THE INTERNET TO CREATE JOBS FOR YOUTH - MAIDEN EDITION OF THE DIALOGUE WITH AGBA JALINGO TAKES PLACE IN CALABAR

The first Quarterly town hall meeting, in Calabar tagged "The Dialogue with Agba Jalingo"  with a theme " Harnessing the power of the internet to create Jobs for youth" was held on Thursday 23rd February 2017 at the Transcorp Hotels, Calabar, Cross River State.


The Event which is an offshoot to the radio show "Dialogue with Agbo Jalingo" a  current affairs program on Hit 95.9 FM (Calabar), which airs every Sunday at 6.00pm addressing  topical issues from Environment, Health, Social Welfare, Tourism, Hospitality and Security. 

The Dialogue is the primary platform in the state that drives the Cross River Conversation between Public/private Sector leaders and citizens. The interactive nature of the show enables members of the public drive conversations, demand accountability and offer feedback questions to public and private sector industry leaders.

The event was put together and hosted by the Cross River Watch and The Dialogue team in partnership with leading organisations in Cross River State.

The Dialogue Quarterly Townhall Series is aimed at driving  conversations with the Guest of the Dialogue, His Excellency, Senator (Prof.) Ben Ayade, Executive Governor, Cross River State on the State’s Investment in Information and Communications Technology and the opportunities available for young people in Cross River State.

Other activities at the Townhall Meeting included panel sessions, an informative session on up-skilling opportunities for young people to improve on their digital skills for employment and engagement in Digital Communications and Technology industry.
