THE IKEJI'S, THE KARDASHIAN OF NIGERIA? DON'T ATTRIBUTE MY SUCCESS TO THAT OF MY SISTER? - LAURA IKEJI

Will i be wrong to categorically tag the Ikeji's the Nigerian Kardashian's?  They seem to be in the news on daily basis. With Linda as the Kim of the Family, paving way for her siblings.

Especially Laura, who has diligently made good use of her sister's fame. She has found a way to build her own name (brand) with her diverse businesses, from being a brand ambassador, to a fashion blogger, and now a clothing line OR  a boutique? Well, in case you haven't noticed? she is working really hard to become as successful as her sister Linda Ikeji. who has become a house hold name over the years, with no one noticing Laura's hustle, it's all swallowed up in the Linda's hall of fame.

Meanwhile, Laura now thinks it's time for her to stand on her own, It's time she gets an applaud without people attributing her success to that of her sister's. It's time to be recognized for who she is, what she stands for and what she has been able to achieve for herself. And even though she gets immerse support from her famous sister, she feels she needs more support from the society at large.

she then went ahead to relate her current situation with that of the Jenner/Kardashian sisters. "Some of us just like Kylie & Kendall Jenner work our butts off, we re creative, we re constantly getting it right, we have our own" \

So, should we be expecting a reality TV show soon too? #keepingupwiththeikeji's. well, that would make sense.

"It's usually easier for people with celebrity or rich siblings to succeed but trust me, it's hard to get your own identity without people always attributing your success to that famous sister or brother of yours.
Some of us just like Kylie & Kendall Jenner work our butts off, we re creative, we re constantly getting it right, we have our own. Support us like our siblings have with their fame or money. We too dey try"
